John Snouffer
Mr. John H. "Jack" Snouffer, 74, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at his home on Laytonsville Road, Gaithersburg. He was the beloved husband and friend of Dorothy J. Snouffer, his wife of 29 years.

Born September 15, 1931 in Montgomery County, Maryland he was a son of the late George Benjamin and Nellie Ray Snouffer.

Jack was a retired telephone company employee, working for C&P Telephone for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1952-54. He was an avid outdoorsman--loved hunting and gardening.

Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 171 in Damascus, and the Knights of Pythias- Forest Oak Lodge 123, Gaithersburg.

Surviving besides his wife are three step-children, Steve Baggett of Frederick, Shelly Marken of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Scott Baggett of Newtown, Conn.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Ray Snouffer and Robert Franklin Snouffer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Snouffer is preceded in death by two brothers, Warner Snouffer and Charles Snouffer.

Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13 at the funeral home. The Rev. Janet Cornelius pastor of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Etchison, Md., will officiate. Interment Laytonsville Cemetery.
