Dorothy Louise Sims, 77, died Thursday, May 29, 1997 at her home in Borger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Monroe Church of Christ with Mr. Bill Bailey and Mr. Roy Haley officiating.

Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Jackson County, Okla., she had been a Borger resident since 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She married Charlie Sims on August 6, 1982 in Pampa.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Sims, of the home; two sons, Richard Gunkel of Shallowater and Donald Ray Gunkel of Stillwater, Okla.; four brothers, Thomas Paden of Yukon, Okla., James Paden of Magnolia, Bob Paden of Balch Springs and Jerry Paden of Amarillo; three sisters, Dean Jackson of Nashville, Tenn., Doris Anderton of Stinnett and Lucille Tucker of Borger; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 300 S. McGee, Borger, Texas 79007.
