BULL FUNERAL THIS MORNING
Pioneer Resident of County Died Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services for Israel Bull, a pioneer resident of this county and civil war veteran, who died Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home, 727 Woodlawn avenue, will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from the house, the Rev. R.B. Davidson officiating. The Grand Army will be in charge.

The deceased was 78 years old and had been ill for about one year. He was born March 18, 1834 in New York state and came to this state when a boy. He spent practically all his life in this county. He first settled near Pecatonica and later removed to this township, the family coming to Rockford a year ago. He was a member of Company C, of the 146th Illinois infantry and was honorably discharged July 8, 1865. For many years he was a member of the First Baptist church.

He is survived by the widow and eight children: Mrs. Edward Damon of Durand, George of Winnebago, Mrs. John F. Stokes, and Mrs. Frank Baker of this city, John and Obed Bull of Rockford, Mrs. George Dillon of this township and Mary Bull residing at home.
