William Rodgers Rites Wednesday
Last rites for William H. Rodgers, retired farmer of R. D., Cambridge Springs, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Lavin funeral home, at Cambridge Springs. Internment will be in the Edinboro Cemetery.
Mr. Rodgers died in his home, known as the County Line Farm, late Sunday night after having been ill for the past year or so. He was eighty-three. Born in Colebrook, O., the deceased moved to Cambridge Springs 47 years ago where he conducted a general store and post office.
He was a member of Grange and the Manross Methodist Church. Last year he celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary.
Surviving members include his wife, Susan Petit Rodgers; eight children, Mrs. Charles Cottrell, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Dave and Clarence Rodgers, at home; Mrs. Wiley Rodgers, Union City; Mrs. William Burdick, Clarendon, Pa.; CHarles Rodgers, Erie; Mrs. Harry Ross and Mrs. Grant Wilson both of Cambridge Springs. Two sisters in Washington state and one brother in Ohio also survive.
