George Shima of Endwell
George Shima, 92, of Endwell, passed away Wednesday morning, October 22, 1997 at the Susquehanna Nursing Home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen Shima; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Edward Kozlosky, Geraldine and Boyd Yetter, all of Endwell; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Irma Shima, Nashville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Matthew and Ann Shemo, Fla., Fay Shimo, Scranton, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Carey, Baltimore, Md.; also several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott. A member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society and the co-owner of George & Ed's Service Station, Endwell, for 25 years prior to his retirement.
Funeral services will be held Monday 9:30 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Shima, may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 210 N. Jackson Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
