Dies at CMC
JOHN G. SHIMO
John G. Shimo, 82, of 1411 Maple St., died Wednesday in Community Medical Center. His widow is the former Anna Gera.
Born in Taylor, son of the late George and Elizabeth Kandra Shimo, he was employed by Consolidated Molded Products Corp for 46 years before retirement. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and its Holy Name Society.
Also, surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Yeager, Havelock, N.C.; Mrs. William Bega and Mrs. Harold Sawicki, both of Scranton; a sister, Mrs. Mary Carey, Baltimore, Md.; five brothers, George, Endicott, N.Y.; Matthew, New Port Richey, Fla.; Elmer, Scranton, Francis, Moosic, and Andrew, Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave.m with Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church. Interment Cathedral Cemetery.
