Mrs. Mary Rosanna Minter

Mrs. Mary Rosanna Minter, aged 71 years, died Sunday night, Sept. the 22nd, after a long illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Rollins, 121 Elizabeth St., Hampton, Va. She was the widow of the late Josiah Minter, of Laban, Va. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Rollins, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. W. G. Hudgins, Naxera, Va., a brother, John R. Hudgins, of Gwynns, Va., and a granddaughter, Miss Hazel Rollins, of Hampton, Va. Mrs. Minter was a member of Bethel M. E. Church. Her remains were brought to Mathews Tuesday and funeral services were held at Bethel Church, conducted by Rev. H. J. Paylor, assited by Rev. Romie Williams, and Rev. Loveing, of Hampton. Rev. Williams delivered the funeral sermon. Interment was made by the side of her husband, in Pear Tree Cemetery.

The active pall bearers were: Messrs R. J. Brooks, Oscar Stuart, Monroe Diggs, Sep Edmonds, Virgil Mantague, and Charlie Downs. The honorary pall bearers were: Messrs. John Rollins, Samuel Rollins, Robert Daniels, Benj. Rollins, Woodson Derrick, Charlie Hudgins, James Stuart, Powhatan Hunt, James Davis, and A. _vi_ Carmean.
