Abner Jackson McDonald was born in Crawford county, Indiana, Feb. 2, 1860. He passed away Sept. 7, 1918, at the home of his parents in Manhattan, Kansas. He came to Kansas with his family at the age of 17 years. He served two years in the Philippine war. Later he farmed with his sons at Greensburg, Kans. Three years ago he came to Soldier to live with and help care for his aged mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McDonald, and moved with them to Manhattan. He leaves to mourn his departure three children, Mrs. Ivy Harries, of Cherryvale, B. H. McDonald, of Greensburg, Carl J. McDonald, Camp Funston, a mother and father, four grandchildren, two sisters, nieces, nephews . laid to rest in the Soldier cemetery . thanks.laying away of our loved one .. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. McDonald. Carl J. McDonald. Mrs. Ivy Harries. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. and P. T. Rudy.
