Frances Carol Clark, of Gettysburg, died April 19, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Walter William and Catherine Prete Clark.

Miss Clark attended public schools in Jamestown, NY and Toledo, OH and graduated from Libbey High School in Toledo in 1957.

Frances wrote short stories, enjoyed watching movies, was an excellent housekeeper and was a very good hearted person. She loved all animals. She fed wild birds and squirrels and cared for stray cats and other critters. In her younger years, she owned several horses; Whiskey and Susie were her favorites. Her latest pet was an orange cat named Red.

Ms. Clark is survived by a sister, Thelma "Cass" Anderberg of Fairfield; a nephew, Kevin R. Anderberg; a niece, Bonnie J. Anderberg; great-nieces, Mina Anderberg, Alexa Anderberg, Anjolee Smith; a great-nephew, Kirin Clay; a cousin, Anthony Prete.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Bell Clark.
