Leonard J. Bilinski, age 86, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Wittenberg Lutheran Manor.
He is survived by his children: Lee (Roni) Bilinski of CA, Donna Bilinski of CO, Anita (William) Eshelman of Crown Point, Ronald (Patti) Bilinski of CA and Donald (Roberta Gadomski) Bilinski of Chesterton, IN; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren; sister, Alice Bilinski of Sauk Village, IL; aunt, Pauline Knapek of MN. Preceded in death by wife, Louise (nee Lukaszewski); parents, Frank and Mary; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (NOTE: NEW LOCATION) at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN (2 Blocks East of Broadway) with Deacon Ed Kozub officiating.
Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Bilinski was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Cedar Lake, IN. He was a WWII retired Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion St. John Post # 717. Leonard retired from N & W Railroad with 43 years as a supervisor. Leonard was also a world traveler.
