Eva Grace Billings 88, of Bartlett passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Methodist Hospital North of Memphis. She was a homemaker, former member of National Avenue Baptist, current member of Bartlett Baptist Church and a member of Mizpah #62 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Billings was the widow of retired Memphis Fire Dept. District Chief, William F. Billings, Sr. and is survived by her sons, William F. Billings, Jr. (Shelia) of Cordova, Ron W. Billings (Marsha) of Bartlett and Richard Billings of Bloomington, IL; brother, David Alvin Newsome of Memphis; grandchildren, Traci Denio, Ronnie Billings, Jr. and Michael Billings; 5 great grandchildren; and her beloved companion, Muffin, which was her joy in life. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Sunday, April 19, 2009 and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 20, 2009 both at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with the interment to follow at Memory Hill Gardens, Bartlett. The family requests memorials be sent to Bartlett Baptist Church or the Bartlett Humane Society.
