Mrs. Julia Breslin

Mrs. Julia Breslin, wife of Bernard Breslin, proprietor of the West End Hotel, Tenth avenue and Fifteenth street, died yesterday morning at 2:50 o'clock of a complication of diseases after an illness covering a period of several months. Last September she underwent an operation for appendicitis and since that time gradually declined until she passed away.

Deceased was the daughter of Austin, deceased, and Bridget O'Toole and was born in County Mayo, Ireland, on June 21, 1871. She came to this country when a girl and had resided here for a period of twenty-four years. She was a devout Christian woman and a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Ladies' Catholic Benevolent association, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Altar society. She was well known and was highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends.

She was married on October 28, 1888, to Bernard Breslin in this city and she survives with the following children: Patrick A., Neal A., Delia, Marie and Ellen, all at home. She is also survived by her mother and the following brothers and sisters; Anthony O'Toole, proprietor of the Union hotel, this city; John O'Toole, of County Mayo, Ireland; Mrs. Annie Tiernan, Mrs. Ellen Breslin, Mrs. John Manning, of Altoona; Mrs. Margaret Hallihan, of County Mayo, Ireland; Mrs. D.L. Goodrich, of Worcester, Mass; Mrs. P. Dabitt, of Marlborough, Mass.; Mrs. Charles McGuire, of Providence, R.I.; and Mrs. Thomas Simonds, of Hudson, Mass.

The funeral will take place from the house at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning and proceed to St. John's church where solemn high mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. John's cemetery.
