William (Bill) Amason Sr.
William (Bill) Amason Sr., 68, of Granbury died Aug. 30 at Hood General Hospital.
He was born in 1917 in Frederick, Okla. and married L. Gayle Gill in 1981.
Mr. Amason was a veteran of World War II. He had been a resident of Grandbury for 2 1/2 years and was a former resident of Cedar Creek Lake. He served as regional director of quality control in Fort Worth for the GSA.
Mr. Amason is survived by his wife, Gayle of Granbury; a daughter, Norma Greeson of Granbury; and three sons, William D. Amason Jr. of Waxahachie, Daryl Amason of Mabank and Tom Gill of Irving. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Golie Bailey of Terrell; and two brothers, Charles Amason of Boerne and Randal Amason of Bedford.
Funeral service was held Sept. 2 at Martin's Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Mabank Cemetery in Mabank. Glen Newberry officiated. Martin's Funeral Home directed the services.
