The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 18, No 34, p 135, Aug. 21, 1862.

In the town of Rodman, Jefferson Co., N. Y., July 27, 1862, Polly Whitford, wife of Edward Whitford, aged 81 years. Sister Whitford embraced religion in early life, in Berlin, N. Y., under the labors of Eld. Wm. Satterlee, by whom she was received in the Berlin Church, and who was always a favorite in her memory. In 1841, she removed to Adams, N. Y., of which church she then became a member; and though by nature of a desponding mind, she was always ready to contribute of her substance to sustain the cause of Christ, and send it where it was unknown. Dying in a ripe old age, she leaves to the care of her children, a husband in the last stages of weakness and infirmity.
