Daughter of Robert A. and Cora L. Powell Anderson. She first married Harry Legg Sr. She then married William F. Charlton on June 21, 1970. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Robert C. (Teresa) Legg, James A. (Patricia) Legg, Dawn L. (fiance James Bailey) Diaz and Kimberly (Joe) Bomhold; two sisters, Sharon (Ronnie) Bell and Mary (Ray) Chance; two brothers, Andy Anderson and Richard (Rosemary) Anderson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and her first husband, Harry Legg.
