Agnes Brown of Mitchell, IN, died Tuesday, August 24, 1999, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on March 18, 1902, in Washington County, IN, she was the daughter of Christian and Nancy (Garrett) Bridgewater. She married Audrey M. Brown in 1923, and he died June 30, 1976.

Surviving are three sons: Leroy and Lee Brown, both of Mitchell, IN, and Ivan "Dick" Brown of Spokane, WA; one daughter, Martha Bryant of Oklahoma City, OK; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wendell and Darrell Brown; one daughter, Janice Tabor; and four brothers: Herbert, Sanky, Delvin, and Homer Bridgewater.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Presbyterian Church.

Services for Agnes Brown will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 28th, at the Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Marge Braden and Tim Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
