Alvah Zeigler, 80, a retired rancher, died Thursday, September 23, 1971 at his home in the Spurling Hotel in Nelson. He was a native of Nuckolls County.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 1971 in the Megrue-Price Funeral Home at Superior. The Rev. Jerry Densmore officiated. Burial was in the Guide Rock Cemetery.

Besides his widow, Ella, he is survived by three sons, Lyle of Brewster, Leslie of Ainsworth, and Hilton of Eugene, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Robertson and Mrs. Clara Copp, both of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers, Bert of Superior, Clell of Lincoln and Wilber of Beatrice and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Edmonds and Mrs. Edna Rogers, both of Lincoln.
