Tiverton, Ohio is located in Coshocton County, but the farm where Sampson and his family lived was located just across the county line in Knox County.
Sampson and Mary had eight children. Ephraim, their fifth child, died in infancy in 1848. Mary died in 1854 after the birth of their eighth child Abraham, who also died the same year.
