Anna Pepper was born March 4, 1784 according to her son Zedekiah Pepper (see transcript of the Zedekiah Pepper Bible, "Cemetery and Bible Records: Volume IX" by the Mississippi Genealogy Society, September, 1962, Pages 24-26. At that time, the family Bible was in the Possession of Hayes Swayze Pepper.) She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Gwin Harper and was born in North Carolina. She married Samuel circa 1799 in Williamston, Anderson County, SC. The Bible listed the following children: Zedekiah (b. Jan. 13, 1800), Ezeriah (B. March 4, 1802), Gwin(B. October 31, 1804), Mary (B. January 13, 1806 D. May 7, 1845. Death recorded as Mary King in the Bible.), William (B. January 13, 1809), Elizabeth (B. January 20, 1813), Samuel, Jr. (B. March 19, 1815), John (B. September 28, 1817) and Mary (B. October 4, 1821). Anna's death is recorded in her son's family Bible as April 8, 1853.
