Charles Warren Amberson, born November 24, 1919, passed away on April 3, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Oneouta, Alabama to Herbert Lee and Flora Victoria (Haney) Amberson. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and then worked in Civil Service for thirty years as a machinist at Kelly Field. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Anne Marie Amberson. He is survived by his son, James Amberson, of San Antonio, one brother, Ralph Amberson (Susann) from California, two cousins and one brother-in-law. Interment will be held on Tuesday, April 7th 2009 at the Holly Cemetery in Franklin, Texas.

uncle charlie was a sweet and gentle man. he was warm and loving to my husband mark and brother craig when they went to texas to stay for a while as children, and lovely to us as adults when we went to visit in the 1990's.
