Floyd L. Beemer, 84, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton, Mo. He was born December 20, 1921, in Lyons, Nebraska, the son of Leslie Franklin Beemer and Bessie Mae (Taylor) Beemer. On May 10, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas, he married Neioma Avis Coody, who preceded him in death on May 20, 1992. On September 4, 1993, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor, Mo., he married JoAn Parks, who survives of the home. Floyd was a farmer all of his life and had retired as a firefighter at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He served in the Army during World War II, in the European theatre and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church; a lifetime member of the Windsor VFW Post, 2610 and a member of the American Legion, Post 82, Windsor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmie Beemer on Sept. 3, 2001; and 2 sisters, Marie Walker and June Saylors. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 28, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Windsor, Mo. Burial was at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
