She met Peter when he emigrated to NY from Quebec after fighting in the war. They married and relocated to Ohio - initially in Miami, then later, Goshen - where they spent their final days.

RINGER, Mary - Wife of Peter Ringer, who, drafted into the French Army, served for seven years under Napoleon I, participating in the Russian campaign and the retreat from Moscow, and being captured at Gilbralter, whence, uniformed as a British soldier, he was sent to Quebec—Clermont County, Ohio. Jan. 31,  aged 79.
