Their children were Robert Strickland(Adopted Name Robert "Bobby" Pettersen), Born Bangor, Maine in 1947, lived in Orcas Island, WA; and Kimberly Petterson of Orcas Island, Wa. Their adopted parents were Pete and Mary Pettersen, Mary was the town Postmaster in Orcas Island, Pete was a Tug Master.
