He was born on Oct. 7, 1920 in Monarch, Utah. He married Betty Mott on Dec. 10, 1945. Jess loved fishing, hunting, and worked with the WBBA in Salt Lake for many years where he lived and raised his family. He served in the Army Air Corp, World War II.
He is survived by wife, of Duchesne; five children, Ron (Connie), Denver; Rory (Linda) Evanston; Russ (Sherry), Romanza, both Salt Lake City; Rayde Hamblin, West Jordan; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three sisters.
Funeral Friday, 11 a.m. at the Roosevelt LDS 7th Ward Chapel, 250 W. 200 N., where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, Strawberry Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt.
