Born in Ohio, Enoch M. Williams came with the family to Delaware county. He served for a while in the Civil war, belonging to the 84th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He afterwards settled as a farmer in Hamilton Twp, where he resided until his death. He married, first, Mary Kelley, who was born in Blackford Co IN where her parents settled when coming here from their Pennsylvania home. She died in early womanhood, having borne him two children, of whom John C. Williams, the subject of this sketch is the only one living. He (Enoch) married 2nd a Miss Haynes, daughter of Daniel Haynes of Blackford Co. and of that union three children were born, namely: Mrs. Fanny Rogers, George Williams, and Charles Williams.

Married 20 Mar 1856 in Delaware Co IN Mary Ellen Kelly with whom he had Elsie (Alecy) M. Williams (married Shideler), John C Fremont Williams, Thomas Williams.

Married 2nd 29 Mar 1860 in Delaware Co IN, Cornelia Ann Desdemona Haynes with whom he had:

Enoch M. Williams Will

Be it remembered that on this 19th day of July 1875 the following Will was filed and presented for Probate, and entered of Record, to wit:

In the name of the Benevolent Father of All, I Enoch M. Williams, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament.

1st I give and devise to my beloved wife the farm we now reside on situationed in Delaware County and State of Indiana, containing about 80 acres during her natural life, the rents and profits to be applied for the support of my children during their minority, and all the stock, household furniture, provisions and other goods and chattles which may be thereon at the time of my decease during her nature life as aforesaid, she however selling so much thereof as may be sufficient to pay my just debts. At the death of my said wife all the real estate and personally property be equally divided between Alecy M. Shidler, John C. Williams, William H. Williams, Fanny J. Williams, Laura Belle Williams, Martha J. Williams, Charles S. Williams and George Williams.

In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of June 1875.
