CASHMERE _ Rose E. Scovel, 81, a lifetime resident of the Cashmere area, died Tuesday morning, April 28, 1992, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1910, in Cashmere to Charles and Alice E. (Richardson) Clark and received her early education there.

She married Herbert Scovel on Nov. 15, 1937, in Ephrata. They owned and operated the Alpine Novelty and Curio Shop on the west side of Stevens Pass for many years.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lillian Allison, Boone, Iowa; a brother, Clarence Clark, Bellingham; a twin sister, Ruth Abbott, and a sister, Minnie Clark, both of Wenatchee; and special friends, Della Noel and Dorothy Price, both of Cashmere, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keeton of Chelan. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and one brother.
