FAGAN, ELBERTA JACKSON (CROSS) - age 93, a resident of Sweetwater, Tenn., for the past 56 years, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2000, at Sweetwater Valley
Convalescent Home. She was born on August 12, 1907 to the late R. H. and Abby Jackson. Preceded in death by her husbands: Glen Cross and Roger Fagan, her daughter, Mildred (Cross) Disney; sisters: Mary Sampsell, Kate Stubbs, and Gertie Purdy; brothers: W.O. Jackson and Sabe Jackson. She was of the Jehovah Witness faith. Survivors: daughter, Faye (Cross) Lane of Lane Dayton, Ky.; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Eldena Cross of Madisonville, Tenn.; sister, Lucille Ruffner of Coalfield, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren;several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Kyker Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Friday with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. in Kyker's
Chapel with Rev. Ed Hall officiating. Burial to follow in the West View Cemetery.
