Andrew J. Bird, 76, of 407 Azeele street, a Tampa resident for more than 40 years, died in a hospital yesterday. Mr. Bird was connected with the Tampa steamways for years and was a retired captain of a boat running between Tampa and Sarasota. He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Mrs. A.L. Allen, both of Tampa. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at the funeral home of J.L. Reed and son. The Rev. Fleuren of Sacred Heart church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas E. Lucas, H.P. Baya, J.B. Charles, Dave Doherty, William Krause and Jerry Robles. [Unknown Source]
