The town of Harned, Breckinridge County, Kentucky is named for Henry C Harned. He donated railroad right-of-way and the location was soon known as Harned Station; later becoming Harned, Kentucky. Henry migrated to Oklahoma Territory about 1900. He made Homestead Application No. 7880 on January 11, 1902. On December 1, 1909 Henry received USA Patent Number 61884 on SW Qtr Sec 29 T2S R9W Indian Meridian (Comanche County later becoming Cotton County, Oklahoma.} Henry served as Justice of the Peace in early 1900's.
