GENEVA DALE DOANE, 89, of Beverly, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at the Barry Boarding Home in Barry.
She was born in Pittsfield Nov. 28, 1912, to Joe and Charlotte (Schadel) James. She married William Ronald Doane Oct. 26, 1936 in Griggsville. He died April 3, 1997.
Survivors are one son, William James Doane of Beverly; one daughter, Mary Jane Witt of Quincy; two grandsons, Jeff Doane of Quincy and Phil Doane of Beverly; one granddaughter, Lori Turnbull of Carthage; two great-grandsons, Eric Doane of Beverly and Sean Turnbull of Carthage; two brothers, George James of rural Pittsfield and Joe James of Phoenix, Ariz. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lyndle James, Paul James and Elmo James and one sister, Lita James.
She was a member of the Beverly United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School class in her church. She loved flowering and gardening which she enjoyed sharing with her neighbors and friends.
Funeral services were Satur-day, May 25, at Beverly United Methodist Church in Beverly. Burial was in Mound Prairie Cemetery in Beverly. Memorials are suggested to Beverly United Methodist Church or Mound Prairie Cemetery Association. Kirgan Funeral Home handled th e arrangements.
