Halcomb, Ann Burton - age 59, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, July 11, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. Born December 21, 1938, in Lake City to Roscoe and Mossie Lee Burton. She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, Roscoe and Mossie Lee Burton; daughter, Veronica Trame; grandson, Michael T. Halcomb; sisters, Marie Carden, Elizabeth Sharp; brother, Jimmy Burton.

Survivors: husband, Bill Halcomb, Lake City; sons, Robert and Pat Halcomb, Lake City, Randy Halcomb, Lake City; sisters, Charlene Langston, Clinton, Wanda and Frank Cox, LaFollette, Sue and Lawrence Foust, Lake City, Janie Shephard, Smyrna, Tenn., Kay and Sam Webb, Oliver Springs; son-in-law, Thomas Trame, Knoxville; brothers, Johnny and Wanda Burton, Lake City, Benny Burton, Nashville; grandchildren, Regina Trame, Mandi Trame, Will Halcomb, Josh Halcomb and Nick Halcomb; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Hubbard; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, July 13, 1998, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Harness officiating and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements.
