HENRY RODIECK BURIED
Large Concourse of Friends Followed Remains to Cemetery
Funeral services in respect to Henry William Rodieck were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the family home at the corner of Florida street and Cottage avenue, and a great concourse of relatives and friends gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased, affirming the truth that none knew him but to love him. Rev. Dr. Sykes, rector of St. Philip's Episcopal church, conducted the service, which was beautiful and spoke feelingly of the dead before him. Many friends brought great bouquets of flowers, until the casket was almost hidden from view. The following gentlemen, members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, acted as pall-bearers: Dick Wright, W.B. Cook, W.W. Duncan, C.L. McDonald, Chas. Reitch, W.T. Murrell.
At the cemetery the Woodmen of the World, of which order deceased had been a faithful member, took charge of the remains, and an appropriate ceremony was held. The following Woodmen acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. S.A. Taylor, O. Kirchner, J.P. Emmons, George E. Matthews, J. Schnorr, H.C. Mollard.
Among the floral offerings were a number of beautiful pieces from other cities, sent by friends.
