Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, for Glenn Devere "Jake" Morford, 84, who died Saturday, January 17, 1998, in Tucson, Arizona.

Mr. Morford worked for Jordan's Bakery in Topeka for years before going to work for American Machine and Foundry Co. as a bakery service engineer. He retired from AMF in 1975 and started his own bakery consulting business. He moved to Tucson in 1972.

He was born June 5, 1913, in Soldier, the son of Mary Ruth (Stephenson) and Clyde Isaac Morford. He was graduated from Soldier High School in 1934.

He married Margaret Louise Fiske in July 1936. She died in 1982. He later remarried.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Morford of the home in Tucson, Arizona; two daughters, Carol Exline, Salina, and Cheryl Musick, Overland Park; a son, Danny Morford, Leavenworth; two step-sons, Elton Kilfoyl and Randi VenHuizen, both of California; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a step-son, Jim Kilfoyl.

Burial will be in Soldier Cemetery. Friends may visit an hour before funeral time at Mercer Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road, Tucson, Arizona, 85734.
