FUNERAL HELD SAT. FOR MRS. LEATHERWOOD

Mrs. M. B. Leatherwood, 57, a resident for 39 years of Crosby County, died at 2:45 o'clock last Friday afternoon at Lubbock General Hospital, three weeks after she had been admitted there for treatment of a kidney ailment. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. L. B. Smallwood officiating, assisted by Rev. Noel V. Guice, pastor of the First Baptist Church. She was buried in Crosbyton cemetery with Curry Funeral Home in charge.

Cora Ethel Leatherwood was born in Tennessee on Dec. 3, 1886 and passed away on March 19, 1943.

Survivors are three sons, J. D. Leatherwood, of Dumas, Calvin Leatherwood of Dalhart, Happle Leatherwood of Crosbyton; the mother, Mrs. M. D. Sanders of Cleburne; a brother, E. M. Sanders of Cleburne, Mrs. R. B. Kuyendall of Wichita Falls, Mrs. P. E. Moore of Ranger, and Mrs. F. E. McPherson of Corsicana, were sisters.

Pallbearers were: Clyde Sherwood, Ernest Smith, Tom Jackson, Truman Barnett, Steen, T. Darden, and Clarence Ratheal
