Mr. Branson Dies Near Carthage
Fletcher Branson, 81, died Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at his home just east of Carthage, following three years of declining health.
A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Mr. Branson was born October 17, 1872, a son of James S. and Martha Branson, and had resided in the Carthage community since 1895.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Berenice (sic), at home; two sons, Marlin of Indianapolis and Robert of Knightstown.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Thompson Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. R. V. Rich officiating. Interment will be in the Little Blue River Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home any time.
