She was born April 8, 1921, in Ocala, Fla., to Mary Ellen Hurst and Lawrence Ballard Sr.
She married Wade Chesser; he later passed away. She married Evan A. Nelson; he later passed away.
She gave an infinite amount of love to her children.
Survivors include her children, Michael T. (Dolores) Chesser, Lawton, Okla., William D. (Leslie) Chesser, Salt Lake City, Carol N. Day, Denver, Diane (Robert), Richfield, Jeannette Nelson, Lawton, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Hugh H. Ballard, Newport, N.C., Ethel Louise Brown, Melbourne, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m., in the Magleby Mortuary chapel, where friends may call Thursday afternoon after 1 p.m.
Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
