Darlene Joan Ames, 67, formerly of Clinton, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in South Beloit, Illinois. She was born on July 24, 1941 to Victor and Pearl (Oliver) Casper in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. She graduated from High School in 1959.
She was married to Frederick Ames on October 20, 1961 in Menomonie, Michigan.
Mrs. Ames was employed as a nursing assistant at Meadow Park Health Care Center in Clinton for 18 years. She greatly enjoyed working with ceramics.
She is survived by her three children: Marc Ames- Clinton, Brian (Sharon) Ames- Altus, OK, Kathleen (Terry) Ward- Beloit. Five grandchildren: Alan Ames, Amanda Ames, Kyle Ward, Hannah Ames and Bethany Ames. Three sisters: Ruth Clement- Janesville, WI; Betty Smith- Janesville, WI; Shirley Lyga- Avalon, WI. Two sisters-in-law: Donna Casper- Janesville, WI and Norma Casper- Janesville, WI. Also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederick, her sisters, Bernice Nanstad and Genevieve Patsner. Five brothers: Gaylord, Richard, Norvin, Arland and Duane.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ames will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home. Time of service 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 15 from 2 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
