DEATH COMES TO MRS. CARL BAUGHMAN
Mrs. Lela Marie Baughman, 30, wife of Carl V. Baughman, of 531 Carel St., died Thursday evening at her home following an eight month illness of complications. She had been a resident of Zanesville for the past 15 months and was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union on Hamblime Ave. Survivors in addition to her husband included two daughters, Betty Marie and Virginia Irene at home, her father, Harry Thompson of Flushing, three sisters, Miss Betty Thompson and Mrs. Marjorie McConnell of Zanesville, amd Miss Thelma Thompson of Akron, Ohio; six brothers, Victor Thompson, Zanesville, Ray, Melvin and Eugene Thompson, of Flushing, Ernest Thompson of Roseville and Ralph Thompson of Canton, Ohio. The body was removed to Dean Funeral Home.

Lela also had a daughter, Fredalynne Schmidlap whom she gave up for adoption when it become clear her health was too serious to raise her. She was very happy and proud to know that her daughter was given to a Lutheran minister and his wife. She named her Patricia Ann Davis and finally Fredalynne was able to learn all of this when she met her father when she was 56. Fredalynne also met her sisters.
