Walter Maasch
Mass for Walter A. Maasch, 64, of Sheridan will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Michel Mulloy officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Kane Funeral Home. Mr. Maasch died Sunday, May 27, 2001, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. He was born Aug. 17, 1936, to Anna Bauer and Walter F. Maasch in Worden, Mont. He graduated from high school in Hysham, Mont. He entered the U.S. Army June 7, 1962, and served in the Vietnam War. He married Sharon Johnston (Cline) Feb. 22, 1980, in Sheridan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching baseball, football and basketball. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 7. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank. Survivors include his wife of Sheridan; two daughters, Sheila Hardy of Whitefish, Mont., and Gwen Cote of Missoula, Mont.; a son, Walter Jade Maasch of Laramie; two stepdaughters, Careelane Cline and Cynthia Cline of Lees Summit, Mo.; three stepsons, Daniel Cline and Douglas Cline of Lees Summit and Donald Dean Cline of Casper; and three brothers, Alvin L. of Miles City, Mont., Duane O. of Holister, Calif., and Lyle M. of Hysham, Mont. Memorials may be made to the National Emphysema Foundation in care of Kay Roush, First Federal Savings Bank, P.O. Box 6007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Walter A. Maasch, 64, of Sheridan, passed away on May 27, 2001, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Mr. Maasch was born on August 17, 1936 to Anna Bauer (Maasch) and Walter F. Maasch in Worden, Montana. He graduated from High School in Hysham, Montana. On June 4, 1964, he entered the US Army and served during the Vietnam War.
On February 22, 1980 he married Sharon Johnston (Cline) in Sheridan, Wyoming. Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball, football, and basketball. He also is a past commander for the American Legion Post No. 7.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Frank Maasch. He is survived by his wife Sharon; three brothers, Alvin L. Maasch of Miles City, Montana, Buane O. Maasch of Holister, California, and Lyle M. Maasch of Hysham, Montana; two daughters Shelia Hardy of Whitefish, Montana, Gwen Cote of Missoula, Montana; one son, Walter Jade Maasch of Laramie, Wyoming; two step daughters, Careelane Cline and Cynthia Cline of Lees Summit, Missouri; three step sons, Daniel Cline, Douglas Cline of Lees Summit, Missouro, and Donald Dean Cline of Casper Wyoming.
A visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at Kane Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, 11am at Holy Name Catholic Church, with the Reverand Michel mulloy officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Nationl Emphysema Foundation, in care of Kay Roush, First Federal Savings Bank, P.O. Box 6007, Sheridan, Wyoming, 82801.
