Ada Almina "Al" Jensen Phillips, 68, died Sept 26, 1992, at Hearthstone of northern Nevada, Sparks. A native of Kilgore, Idaho, she was born Nov. 11, 1923 to Ada (Harmon) and Aldo Jensen. She had been a resident of Nevada for more than 60 years, coming from Idaho.

Mrs. Phillips was retired from the Nevada State Retirement Board. She served as vice president of the Lyon County Library Board of Trustees, was a founder and past president of the Smith Valley Friends of the Library and Smith Valley Homemakers Club, and was active in the Women's Society for Christian Service and the Smith Valley Community Methodist Church ahd choir.

Surviving are her husband, James W., of Carson City; son John Hynd and daughter Jeanie Hynd Brooks, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons Bob and Ron Phillips, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter Kathy Duvall of Federal Way, Wash.; brothers Boyd Jensen of Hawthorne and Art Jensen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and nine grandchildren.

She preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wes and George, and sister, Almina Berrum.

A private memorial service was held. Cremation will be at Reno Crematory, under the direction of Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
