Mrs. Joseph Marsh
Mrs. Joe Marsh of Colome, S. D., formerly Miss Sophie Meyer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Meyer of Uehling died at the Oakland hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 12. She was buried last Friday at the St. Paul's Lutheran church cemetery north of Hooper, Rev. H. O. Rhode conducting the services. She is survived by her husband and a four- year old son.

Sophie Marie Meyer was born April 5, 1879 near Hooper, Nebr. When five years of age the family moved to a new home east of Uehling; here, she spent the greater part of her live. She received Baptism when an infant and at the age of fourteen years she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and remained true to her faith during her life.
On June 24, 1913, she was united in marriage to Joe Marsh of Colome, South Dakota. They resided near Colome, with the exception of four years, during which time they lived at Springview, Nebr. To them were born three sons, two of which were called home in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her passing a husband and little son, father, mother, three brothers and seven sisters. She was ever thotful of those about her and her whole life has been one of loving service. She departed this life Jan. 12, 1926. Rev. C. L. Hammond of Uehling and Rev. Rhode of near Hooper officiated. The remains were layed to rest in St. Johns Church Cemetery.
The survivors are; the husband and son of Colome, S. D. the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Meyer of Uehling; three brothers and seven sisters, John, Ben and Mrs. Lars Jorgensen of Uehling; Herman of Scribner, Nebr.; Mrs. Chas. Henneman, Springview, Nebr.; Mrs. Hans Jorgensen, Colome, South Dak.; Mrs. Will Henneman, Milboro, South Dak.; Mrs. G. J. Wurdeman, Omaha, Nebr.; Mrs. Henry Dicke, Wauneta, Nebr.; and Kathryn of Wray, Colorado.
