Paul Arnell Bartlett, the only child of Amos H and Aura M (Gallogly) Bartlett, was born 8 Sep 1892 in Portis, Osborne county, Kansas. He helped in his father's general store at Portis until marrying Maude Coatney in 1918; shortly thereafter they moved to Colorado Springs where he worked in the post office. Paul and Maude had one son, Dr. Max Dee Bartlett, born in 1927 in Colorado Springs. Paul died 4 Oct 1988.
