Mrs. Bowman Dies Saturday In Hospital

Mrs. Cleanthis Bowman, 80, of 307 Wilson Avenue, wife of Charles G. Bowman, died at 4:23 a.m. Saturday in the Oil City Hospital following a short illness.

She was born in Rockland May 1, 1883, a daughter of J.B. and Zelma Mays Bell. Mrs. Bowman and her husband were married June 8, 1905, at Rockland.

She had resided in Oil City since 1917, coming from Harrisville where she lived for seven years. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Grace Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert C. Bowman of Canton, Ohio; two grandsons, the Rev. David C. Bowman of Cleveland, Ohio and Richard Bowman of Ann Arbor, Mich., and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers, Wade H. Bell and Joseph Bell, both of Rockland.

Friends will be received any time in the Osenider Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home wirh Rev. Virgil Maybray, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the Rockland Cemetery.
