She was born on September 7, 1933, to Lewis Herbert and Linda Lee Salmon Crow in Wood County. She was the second of three children. On December 20, 1951, she married Donald Ray Dunn, who survives her.
Mrs. Dunn attended Winnsboro schools and graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1950.
A resident of Gilmer since 1970, Mrs. Dunn was a long- term employee of SWEPCO from which she retired as Gilmer area manager in 1993. She also served as president of the Upshur County Chamber of Commerce during this time.
Mrs. Dunn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer since 1970.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ann Parker Dunn of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Chuck Moore of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lane Dunn of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Monica and Johnathan Nutt of Longview, Aleisa and Adam Hudlow of Katy, Curtis and Tiffany Moore of Arlington, Tennessee, Laura Moore of Memphis, Tennessee; and one great-granddaughter, Taylor Diane Moore of Arlington, Tennessee. Mrs. Dunn is also survived by a brother, Joe Dan Crow of Bossier City, Louisiana; a sister, Linda Janice Crow of San Antonio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Todd Kaunitz and Don Ross officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn's grandchildren and their spouses will honor her as pallbearers. The Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and their teacher, Elwin Beavers, will be Honorary Pallbearers.
