She was a founding member of the Keenagers program at the First United Methodist Church where she also was a member of the Together Sunday school class.
Tommie was a retired nurse where she worked for many years for the late Dr. Frank B. Mitchell, Jr. and volunteered with the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne W. Wilson, Sr.; a son, Ronnie Jordan (Jackie) of Brunswick; two daughters, Barbara Joan Jordan of Orange Park, Florida and Tennie Marie Jordan Harris (Stephen) of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs Wilson was predeceased by her son, Adam W. Jordan, Jr. of Eatonton, GA and grandson, Richard A. Pfeiffer, of Atlanta.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Marsha Certain, the staff of the Benton House of Brunswick; Mariam Cristobal and Shawna Hendrix of Hospice of the Golden Isle, caregivers Barbara Gamble, Raejahen Smith, Janice Lee , and Wanda Dixon of BrightStar.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 10, at the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetary with the Rev. Jim Mcllrath officiating.
The family will be receiving visitors at Edo Miller Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9th from 6:00pm to 7:30 pm.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Together Sunday School class of the First United Methodist Church, the Benton House staff, and Monica Rich of the First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Golden Isle.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home.
