Obituary
William Case was born in Miami County, Ohio, April 4, 1808. He made a profession of religion in his early life and united with the Baptist Church, of which he has been a consistent member ever since. He came with his family 1877 to the place where he died, some ten miles east and south of Clinton. He departed this life July 26, 1897, at about 4 o'clock a.m. He has been an affectionate husband, a kind and loving father and an obliging neighbor. He lived to the ripe age of 89 years, 3 months and 22 days. He was badly afflicted for a long time. He bore his sufferings patiently and never murmured nor complained. He was perfectly resigned to his Master's will. I said to him one day, "Do you feel that all is well with you?" "Oh, yes," he said, "that was settled a long time ago." He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his departure. For several days before he died he seemed anxious to go to his Saviour and leave his aches and pains. Loved ones, weep not; your sorrow is not as those who have no hope. His remains were followed by a large procession to Good Hope Cemetery, and there with loving hands and tearful eyes his form was laid to rest. The funeral was conducted by his pastor, who had learned to love dear old Bro. Case. Our loss is his gain. Dear Heavenly Father, keep these; save them and us is our prayer. J. M. Ramsey
