Edith and Alfred were the parents of four children.

Edith Young Booth, 80, 38 W. 4th N., died of a heart attack Saturday evening at her home. She was a well-known church and community worker in Provo. Mrs. Booth was born Oct. 15, 1887, in Sugarhouse, Salt Lake County, the daughter of Oscar Brigham and Annie Marie Roseberry Young. At the age of five, the family moved to Provo, where she had lived since. She married Alfred Lewis Booth on June 23, 1915, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died June 3, 1947. She received her education in the Provo city schools and was a "normal" graduate of Brigham Young University. She taught school in. Provo, Milford. Hooper and Grantsville, and after her marriage taught kindergarten in her own home for seven years. She was active in the LDS Church, serving as ward and Relief Society president, Primary teacher and MIA teacher. Mrs. Booth was also a well known author, with many articles to her credit. She was also active in clubs, belonging to the Nelke Reading Club, Alice Louise Reynolds Club No. Six and No. Two (Friendly Circle), Utah Valley Chapter of League of Utah Writers and others. Survivors include one son, three daughters and two stepdaughters, Dr. Thornton Y. Booth, Logan; Mrs. Lowell F. (Leona) White, Orem; Mrs. Wendell U. (Virginia) Allred, Palo Alto, Calif.; Mrs. Donald E. (Margery) Neville, Kaysville; Mrs. Carlos A. (Phyllis) Phillips and Miss Editha Booth, Provo. She also is survived by 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Dr. Kimball Young, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Mrs. Beatrice Y, Moore, Orem; Mrs. Stella Y. Phillips, Brigham City.
