Ann Lane, dau. of Job Lane and Anna Reyner, b. at Malden, Mass. Neither her birth nor baptism is of record, but she was b. within the one year period that began Sept. 30, 1664. A namesake sister Anna, b. of record at Malden in Sept. 1662 d. there of record Nov. 28, 1662. Anna is otherwise included in her father's Sept. 1696 will as "daughter Anna Foster and children." She d. Sept. 29, 1732 at Dorchester, Mass., ∆ 68.
On Oct. 7, 1680 at Dorchester, Mass. (by Humphrey Davie, Esqr.), Anna m. as his 2nd wife, Lieut. James Foster, s. of Capt. Hopestill Foster and Mary Bates, b. Apr. 13, 1651 at Dorchester. He d. Oct. 4, 1732 at Dorchester, ∆ 82.
They had twelve children: Thankful (d.y.); Anna (Foster) Field; Patience (Foster) Savel; John; Jemima (Foster) Spur; Mary (Foster) Brown; Elizabeth (Foster) Barnard; James, Jr.; Rebecca (d.y.); Hopestill; Thankful (Foster) Shaw; and lastly a stillborn son in 1707.

On the face of her inscription, on the day Anna died she was 67 years old and ∆tatis (i.e., ∆, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 68. This means she was b. on or after Sept. 30, 1664; if she had died on her birthday she would have been 68 years old and ∆ 69.
