Son of Jacob & Mary (Kizer) Frazer. On June 17, 1888 Nicholas Kizer Frazer and Idaho Cogswell were married at the Cogswell home just east of Thurston. The Frazers moved to Pendleton, Umatilla County, Oregon, where, on July 1, 1889, their daughter Eva was born. Six months later, on January 28, 1890, Nick Frazer met a tragic death when he became lost in the Blue Mountains and was found frozen to death.

Nick & Idaho Frazer's daughter Eva became a medical doctor. Dr. Eva (Frazer) Johnson and her husband, Dr. Henry "Curtis" Johnson purchased a 13-room Victorian-era mansion in Eugene called the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House located at the base of Skinner's Butte, where they both lived treated their patients.
