Funeral services for Bennie Harold Thedford, 60, Bullard, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home Chapel in Tyler with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield and Johnny Anders officiating.

Burial was in the Cathederal In The Pines Cemetery in Tyler.

Mr. Thedford died Thursday, Nov. 21, in a Tyler hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Noonday. He was a 1948 graduate of Tyler High School and lived in the Bullard area most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Noonday.

Mr. Thedford was owner and operator of Thedford's Shamrock Station for 25 years for the Kirby Oil Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents , Ben and Tempie Thedford, and a brother, Retue Thedford.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Thedford of Bullard; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Ray Welsh of Bullard, Benita and Randall Robins and Theresa and Billy Hightower, all of Whitehouse; four sisters, Dorothy Maxfield and Mildred Socia, both of Tyler, Reba Repp and Johnnie Smith, both of Baytown; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Ray MaCugh, Jack Waldie, Edwin Kirby, Paul Preston, Brewster Lynch and Johnny Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Albright, Georgs Aherns, Charles Wellmaker and Aubrey Hendricks.
